Spamalot, March 6 - 22, 2025
Spamalot is a musical comedy based on Monty Python's classic film The Holy Grail. It features flying cows, killer rabbits, the lady of the lake, and plenty of fish schlapping and other irreverent humour.
It originally played on Broadway - with Charles Isherwood of The Wall Street Journal raving that the show is “deliriously funny”.
Matinee will be March 15th.

The Veiled Vocalist, April 3-5, 2025
Our popular annual singing competition where the contestents are masked and only revealed at the end! Kids 12 and under competition Thursday April 3rd. Teen competition Friday April 4th. Adult competition Saturday April 5th. Teen and kid winner will also perform on Saturday April 5th. Audience will vote to decide who moves on.

Our production of the beloved classic, The Pirates of Penzance, brings the high seas to the stage in a hilarious and action-packed romp. Join our lovable pirate king, his trusty first mate, and a cast of colorful characters as they navigate love, loyalty, and the absurdities of pirate life. With catchy tunes, witty banter, and plenty of laughs, this show is sure to delight audiences of all ages!

2025 Christmas Concert, Dec 6 & 7, 2025
The beloved annual community choir performs the christmas arrangements they will have practiced for several months. An Oakley valley tradition.
Will always be free admission - but last year we had to turn away people because we ran out of seats. So this year tickets are required (free). Get em early!
AUDITIONS FOR UPCOMING SHOWS
The Veiled Vocalist - Auditions now open and will close March 9th, 2025. Video auditions only: tell your name and age at the beginning, and then sing 16 bars of a song of your choice. Submit video to both of the following emails: amiericwardle@gmail.com & kyky.anderson@gmail.com.
The Pirates of Penzance - Auditions will be held at Howells Opera House April 11, 2025 from 7-9pm, and April 12, 2025 from 9am-Noon. Pick a day, and come prepared to read from script selections and to sing a portion of a song of your choice. You can play a backing track from your phone. Located 20 miles south of Burley in the beautiful Snake River plains of South Central Idaho, we are the OAKLEY VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL.
Occupying the HISTORIC 1907 HOWELLS OPERA HOUSE, we produce musical and theatrical productions year-round and an annual Christmas Concert thanks to the efforts of our devoted volunteers.

Our mission
Our mission as a non-profit is three-fold:
1) Promote and encourage the performing arts.
2) Produce local musical and theatrical productions, providing the opportunity for the valley and surrounding areas to participate in live performances.
3) Maintain and improve the property known as Howells Opera House.
